On November 13, 2019, the first formal meeting was held between the project partners of the project "Guardians of Thrace". The meeting marks the beginning of project activities and aims to achieve good communication and coordination in the implementation of relevant activities on both sides of the border. This first meeting is aimed at laying stable foundations for the development of a healthy partnership based on mutual respect, compliance with obligations, joint efforts to achieve the project results.

The meeting was attended by the team members of the three project partners. New Road 2011 Community Center, village of Dobrich, which is a Lead Partner, was presented by Mr. Stefan Dimitrov - Project Manager, Ms. Stefka Ivanova - Chair of the Chitalishte, Ms. Antonia Slavova - Accountant and Ms. Mariana Valcheva - assistant. The Turkish Partner (PP2) was represented by Mr Umut Gian Canar - Coordinator, Mr Sheriff Chapcan - Accountant and Mr Ali Chomlek - Headmaster of Shehsuvarbey Uzunkopru School. The third project partner (PP3) - Pencho Slaveikov Primary School, Dimitrovgrad, was presented by Ms. Snezhana Angelova - project coordinator Ms. Mariela Delcheva - project assistant at PP3 project.

The meeting discussed an appropriate date for all three partners to hold a press conference to open project activities. The partners approved the date of November 21 for its holding. The press conference will be held in Dimitrovgrad, in the Conference Hall at 3 Khimkombinatska Str. Representatives of the three partner organizations, students from Bulgarian partners, representatives of schools and community centers in Dimitrovgrad, local authorities, the media will be invited to attend. The Turkish partner will ensure that the public in Uzunkopru is informed of the launch of the project. The program for holding the press conference was discussed and approved.
